The Knights of Columbus were founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney in Connecticut in 1882 to unite in faith and render financial aid to Catholic men and their families under the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

St. Stanilsaus Kostka Council #12423, a multiple Star Council recipient, continues this mission within its parish and community through numerous volunteer and charitable efforts.

In Service to One.

As a fraternal organization, the Knights of Columbus offers fellowship and service directly to its members, as well as highly rated insurance programs available to members only.

For its part, Council #12423 hosts a minimum of four Corporate Communion events a year. These events allow us to come together as a group to celebrate Mass, and are usually followed by a luncheon or reception. We also hold periodic membership blitzes, an annual summer picnic, and an annual Christmas party which are popular ways to celebrate the gifts God has entrusted to us. Keeping up with the Knights is easy through our quarterly newsletter, Knightly News.

Being a member of the Knights of Columbus also opens doorways to personal fulfillment and fun through service as an officer at the Council or District level. Click on our Officers Page to learn more about the leadership opportunities available!

In Service to All.

Council #12423 continues the proud Knights of Columbus tradition of giving back to our Parish and community. We support a number of charitable causes each year, including raising money for the mentally challenged through our annual Tootsie Roll drive, and holding youth events, such as the Free Throw Contest and, new in 2008, our Breakfast with Santa event.

Knights are also very active in the public arena, defending the rights of the unborn and those of Christian faith in an increasing secular society. Council #12423 also holds four blood drives annually, ensuring the gift of life is shared by all.

Within the Church, the Knights are dedicated to the support of the priesthood and religious vocations, and reverance for the Holy Eucharist. The Council supports St. Stanislaus Kostka parish through its volunteer efforts at a variety of parish events, Color Corps participation in the mass, and through financial support of the parish, including the Campus Project.

We're always looking for help, and for ideas. Membership is open to all practical Catholic gentlemen aged 18 years or over. If you would like to be contacted by a member of our Council about joining the Knights of Columbus, click on the "Request a Contact" link at right.
